English interiors have always had influence on traditional design in the US, but it’s especially having a moment right now. After several years of being at home, the warmth and comfort of British interiors is so appealing. The use of color and pattern just feels happy and I think everyone is looking to English brands and designers to bring some of that joy into their own homes.
There are quite a few English brands now available to the US to shop. I love the way these brands provide such a custom look in their home goods that feel so special and unique when adding to my home.
OKA
I’ve talked about and often link to items I’ve purchased from OKA. I love their lighting, especially the collection of lampshades–one of the only places to find affordable pleated and patterned shades in the US at the moment.
The White Company
A classic staple in the bed and bath category, The White Company is a go-to for all things home. I love their selection of silver frames, luxe bedding, and most note the sweet baby + kids category.
Liberty London
Liberty is probably the most well-known on this list, as they often collaborate with other brands across the interior and fashion realms. Their floral prints are so fun and whimsical. Be sure to check out their Christmas section–the cutest stockings and ornaments for the holiday season.
Birdie Fortescue
Birdie Fortescue is a favorite, especially for my girls. I love the use of pastels and prints and they have a great selection of one-of-a-kind artworks and vintage finds.
Matilda Goad
Matilda Goad is such a fun follow on Instagram and recently released a collaboration with Anthropologie. I was introduced to her shop via her House & Garden home tour.
Morris & Co.
Morris & Co. has been around for a while, and for a very good reason. Their fabrics and wallpapers are the epitome of traditional English design and can be found in the works of designers like Ben Pentreath (a favorite of mine). Waiting patiently for the moment I get to use this paper in our dining room.
Farrow & Ball
No one does paint quite like Farrow & Ball. Their paint colors are truly multidimensional and totally worth the splurge. We have French Grey No. 18 in our main bedroom and the greenish-grey hue makes me so happy.
Etalage
I have yet to purchase art from Etalage, but I obsess over every piece in every collection drop. The site is eclectic and curated and everything is framed to perfection.
