There was a time when I thought carrying a diaper bag just wasn’t going to be my vibe as a mom. I also thought I wasn’t going to have primary-colored toys all over my house, but here we are!
Gemma was a covid baby, so I really didn’t have the need for a diaper bag because we didn’t go anywhere. I got by with my Cuyana tote that I’ve had for years (and still love) and a small insert to house things like wipes and diapers. Then Edie came along and I realized how much STUFF two kids required. Not only that, but having two small kids means needing both hands and tote bags make getting kids in and out of the car difficult.
Enter Mina Baie. I have so many things to say about their bags. To begin, they’re really beautiful bags. I got the Kinney vegan leather backpack just before Edie arrived and have been carrying it ever since. It still looks flawless. The gold hardware is gorgeous and there is literally a compartment for anything and everything you could need. The bag checks all the boxes without sacrificing style and aesthetics.
I highly recommend a backpack with multiple kids–it’s so nice to be able to pick your baby up, shop, push a stroller and not have to worry about a strap sliding down your arm.
For Gemma, I keep diapers, a few snack bars (Cerebelly and That’s It are her faves), retractable snack cup for Annie’s cheddar bunnies, and natural sunscreen during the warmer months.
For Edie, a pacifier, diapers, Mina Baie wipe case with wipes, change of clothes, burp cloths, my Gathre changing mat, bum salve, and a small toy.
For me, just my wallet, chapstick, sunglasses and when I’m breastfeeding, a few nursing pads.
