This Home: Renovated Historic Westchester Farmhouse

As you know from past This Home features, I adore historic spaces that have been restored and perfectly unites the old with the new. I appreciate when the homeowner knows what to preserve, like that insanely beautiful soapstone kitchen sink, and what to add that will compliment the original design.

The chairs in the dining room are from Mercato, an antique store in DeSoto, Kansas that I recently just discovered and plan on visiting soon.

The home has a summer sitting room and a winter sitting room. Hello luxury! The winter room below was designed to be a reading nook. I wouldn’t hate escaping to this room to drink my Sunday morning coffee curled up next to that fireplace.
