This Home: A Modern Ranch

I’m going to go ahead and blame my wrangler-wearing, country-loving S/O for turning me onto homes with a more rustic flare like this one. We could both spend hours perusing MLS – cozy bungalows near the city for me and half-finished cabins on plenty of acreage for him. The majority of our email chains consist of links to home listings we’ve discovered and will most likely never move into.

Maybe it’s the distance that has us dreaming of homes that we’d both agree on; creating hypothetical scenarios and purpose for each room, “Okay, you can make this a man cave if I can shiplap all the other things.” And yes, shiplap is a verb, glad you asked.

I never thought I’d be the type of girl that’d be fond of antler-clad walls and fur-covered chairs, but I’d happily take my vacations in this modern rustic home.
