As we get further into August, school starts back up, the mornings are occasionally are a little cooler, football is a thing again, and I become so eager to update my home and wardrobe for warmer, cozier items. Midwest weather is always a toss-up from now until basically the end of November, so it’s good to have some transitional pieces in your back pocket to mix and match as summer fades to autumn.

FRAME FRINGED SWEATER: We’re headed to the mountains in Colorado next month and I’m excited to get to wear warmer pieces, like this neutral sweater. I love basic pieces that have special detail like the fringe on this one. I’ve also been eyeing this oversized cardigan from Dôen’s new line.

GOLD AZTEC HOOPS: I don’t own much jewelry, but what I’ve been buying over the past few years are good quality, dainty gold pieces that I can layer. I’m putting together a post soon on where I like to shop for all of my favorite gold jewelry.

HIGH RISE SKINNY JEANS: I’ll forever be a denim girl, and I’m constantly on the lookout for jeans with unique details that still fit great. Madewell jeans are tried and true, and I love the button fly and raw edge hem on this pair.

BRACELET CLUTCH: I don’t get dressed up to go out enough to justify having more than one or two clutches at time, so I like my bags to be versatile and long-lasting. I love that this Oliveve bag is neutral, but elevated by the cute dotted pattern and tortoise handle.

RMS BEAUTY BRONZER: Bronzer is the best way to extend that summer tan into fall. I’ve been doing lot of testing of beauty products lately for my wedding and honeymoon, and this bronzer also doubles as a luminizer, so it’s a win in my book!

A FOREVER SCENT: I’ve been on the hunt for signature scent I could wear for any occasion for a long while. I finally found it in Byredo’s Mojave Ghost. This perfume smells incredible, and is mild enough to wear everyday.

FALL FEET: These slides from Loeffler Randall are such a good rich, fall color in the prettiest velvet. I love that they’re slides that you can wear now, into late fall for date nights and weddings.
