Spring Style: The Classic Trench

There’s nothing more classic than a khaki trench. I’ve always wanted one, I’ve just never pulled the trigger until now.

At this point in the season I’m usually demonstrating my most rebellious side, avoiding coats no matter the weather. I’ve always been a “dress for what I wish the weather was” kind of gal. I once spent an entire week over Thanksgiving freezing my ass off in 40-50 degree weather on vacation in Florida. Florida is SUPPOSED to be warm year round, right? My thoughts, exactly. I’m trying to be better as I grow older and wiser. Hence, the practical, in-between seasons, and oh so classic trench coat.

I figured if and when I did get around to purchasing a trench, it needed to be from a classic place that I trusted and that is always and forever my good friend, J.Crew. This coat is the perfect piece for this transitional time of year. The only disappointing part is that I didn’t get one sooner!
