We are so excited to be expecting a new baby in April. While we don’t know the gender just yet, we do know that the he or she is healthy and that is a blessing to be celebrated and grateful for.
This time around couldn’t be more different from my experience with Gemma. From getting pregnant, to carrying her throughout my pregnancy, and birth/postpartum, everything was pretty smooth sailing. It was more difficult getting pregnant this time and my first trimester has been full of nausea and fatigue. But I have seen a big improvement over the past week and am just so thankful to be able to go through this experience again.
Gemma and her sibling will be a little under two years apart. I am so excited for her to have a built-in best friend. She is so social and I know having a little playmate for her will be the very best.
Just wanted to say thank you for sharing in the excitement with us, for sending your love and support over the past week–it means the world. And I have to note, this journey looks so different for everyone and I know these announcements can be difficult for so many. For those trying to grow their own families–I see you, I love you, and my heart is with you.
I didn’t do many pregnancy/motherhood posts with my first mostly because I felt unqualified, like I was still figuring it all out. I’d love to know if you have any post/discussion requests here or on Instagram–just shoot me a note. xx
