My Weekend Uniform

This past weekend was a good mix of work and play. It’s felt a little like spring lately and has been just the medicine I needed to kick these winter blues. I’ve made sure to cherish the sunshine in between new client work, sourcing for upcoming shoots, and working on home projects.

This time of year, I typically reach for the same type of outfit as I’m running errands around town. Experimenting and finding my personal style has definitely taken some time. I’ve felt guilty about not having enough color in my wardrobe and used to buy pieces just because I felt like I already had too much black. I have finally embraced my love for a neutral palette over the past few years. I don’t apologize for wearing black – black is chic as hell. It goes with everything, and that’s a nice little time saver in the mornings. There’s a reason that successful people choose to have limited wardrobe, after all.

I have a few tried and true items that I buy and rebuy when they get too worn because I love them that much. J.Crew’s minnie pants and Everlane’s tees are my favorite and most worn items without a doubt. They’re the items I reach for without much thinking. They’re comfortable and versatile – weekend wear at it’s best.
