What do you do when it’s 55 degrees one day and 75 the next? Wear sweaters with shorts of course! Fall is such a wonderful time of year, but so confusing as a midwesterner when trying to put a decent outfit together.
I’m that girl that dresses for what I wish the weather was like and not what it is in reality. A few years back my family took a trip to Florida in November. I packed like I was time traveling to Florida in June and wound up freezing my you-know-what off. My mom and sister occasionally offered me their jackets and socks out of pure pity.
I’d like to think I’ve gotten smarter since then. One thing’s for sure, I never pass up an opportunity to wear a new sweater on a crisp fall day. I’m all about comfort and style over following trends. Luckily, turtlenecks seem to fit in all the categories mentioned and have recently become my favorite kind of sweater. My closet is full of wool and cashmere this time of year, so I’ve been determined to find a way to dress up an otherwise casual item and I think leather does just the trick!
