Customizing our Frame TV with Seasonal Art

Our Samsung Frame TV tends to be a topic of conversation when friends and family come to our home for the first time. On occasion, we’ve even surprised people with the news that it’s a television and not just artwork. I love that we can choose to mask the otherwise big black box with something beautiful. One of the benefits of the Frame TV is that I’m able to customize the artwork depending on my mood and seasonality.

I love our Frame TV. The wall that it sits on is parallel to how you enter the room, so we wanted a TV that would be sleek and unassuming from the side. Ours has the original black frame, but you can customize yours to match your decor.

Until recently, we’ve used the Frame store’s artwork. You can choose between the free artwork, or pay for a monthly subscription. If you’d rather hand-pick a piece of art that speaks to your space, there are several online shops that sell digital prints perfect for the Frame TV. I’ve found that Etsy has what I’ve been looking for lately and most of them are under $4. It’s where I bought the winter scene on my TV pictured here–love!

HOW TO ADD YOUR OWN PRINT TO YOUR FRAME TV
Create an album on your phone or other device named Frame TV and place any artwork you want to use in the album.
Download the Samsung SmartThings App.
In the SmartThings App, select your TV and then select Art Mode.
Your TV will need to be on and connected to the same wifi network as your device with your photo album.
Select Add Your Photos and select your Frame TV album from the dropdown menu.
Select your print, choose a mat, and click “Set on Frame” to display on your TV.
Use the SmartThings App or the remote to your TV to adjust the brightness and color balance of your piece.

I hope this is helpful and answers some questions I’ve received about the TV. If you have others, feel free to shoot me a DM on Instagram or comment below!
