Currently Loving vol. 01

With Valentine’s Day near and spring in the air, I’m feeling all the feels for florals and frills. A bit out of the ordinary for me, but I’m embracing it. Do you have plans this Friday? Zach is taking me to one of our beloved restaurants, Port Fonda. Wishing I could indulge in my favorite skinny marg, but thankful to be celebrating and loving on someone extra this year!

I’m getting the hang of styling my growing bump with the help of a few new pairs of maternity jeans and oversized blouses. This puff sleeve blouse (also here) and floral maxi dress were added to my cart over the weekend and I couldn’t be more excited to style them for spring.

I’ve had my Demillier London crossbody bag for about year now and still love it so much (and because of the quality of the materials used, it still looks brand new). This new tan and white colorway in their recent arrivals has me swooning!

In an attempt to “clean up” our cleaning products as we get ready for baby, I’ve been slowly making changes. We replaced our body wash with Dr. Bronner’s castile soap while back, and it just dawned on me that I could be using it for other purposes around the house too. I went with the almond version this week and it smells DEVINE. I love anything almond scented. My plan is to make hand soap with these amber glass dispensers to place in each of the bathrooms. If you’re interested, here’s the Dr. Bronner’s cheat sheet of all of the uses and recipes for using castile soap around the home.

Our living room is in need of extra storage for blankets, so I’ve been on the hunt for a few oversized baskets. Pottery Barn is currently running their Friends & Family promotion and this large tote is 20% off.

With baby’s due date approaching in June, I’m dreaming of making our bedroom a sanctuary. Is it odd that I’d rather focus on the master instead of the nursery? I keep hearing that we’ll be in our room for the first 6 months or so anyway, so I’d rather make the most of the rooms we’ll be spending utilizing the most in the beginning. I am looking forward to (and have lots of ideas for) slowly tackling throughout the next few seasons though! I’m thinking this plush duvet and this bed frame are a match made in sleep-deprived heaven.

There isn’t much that compares to the scent, beauty, and ambiance of fresh blooms. But after seeing Sarah of Room for Tuesday styled so many incredible faux florals and stems throughout her home, it has me thinking I might need an arrangement or two of my own. I love the simplicity of these fern branches and how real these gardenia branches appear.
