Building a Classic F/W Capsule Wardrobe

There have been a few requests over the past year or so for capsule wardrobe suggestions, so here we are! While I’ve never curated a true capsule wardrobe myself, I’ve always been a firm believer in collecting pieces that pair nicely with the majority of the items in your closet.

I definitely find that fall and winter pieces are the ones I wind up keeping and cherishing for years. Coats and sweaters are my weakness–there just isn’t anything better than an oversized knit during the colder months. 90% of my closet consists of sweaters, boots, and denim that I can mix and match freely, with the extra 10% accounting for the interesting details. Think blazers, belts, classic jewelry, and pretty little handbag.

Some of my favorite brands to shop for classic, quality pieces are Vince, Rag & Bone, & Other Stories, Mango, White & Warren, Everlane, and Cuyana. You know by now that I almost always stick to neutrals, so these recommendations will be well inline with your expectations of what you can find around here. 🙂
