Black and White Rugs

I always get a few curious people enquiring about my Moroccan shag rug when I post an image of it on Instagram. Where is it from? Would I suggest it for people with dogs or kids? Would I buy it again?

My rug and I, we’ve had a love/hate relationship. I believe that a good rug is the foundation of the entire room if done right, and my rug certainly is that. It’s the first thing guests comment on when walking into my home for the first time. Friends and dogs alike love it because it’s so soft. But it may as well be a dog because it sheds. like. crazy. Even after 4 years, it continues to clog my vacuum a minimum of 4 times a cleaning. Drives me nuts.

If I had to do it all over again, I think I’d still make the same purchase, but there are so many good-looking neutral rugs on the market right now that’d it’d be hard not to try something new! I’m sharing a few great black and white options I’ve fallen for across the web.
