A Simple Holiday

One | Two

And just like that, it’s December. Where did this year go? I’m not complaining. I wish this month of twinkle lights, Christmas movies on repeat, and overindulging in cookies made of little ginger men would last all year.

I always have grand plans for my holiday decor, hosting schedule, parties and events to attend. I tend to forget that there are only four short weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and they book up fast. With a full work schedule for all of the fun to compete with, I’ve learned to keep the holiday stress to a minimum – getting most of my shopping and decorating done enough in advance to be able to enjoy the season.

I’ve been in search for the perfect boxwood wreath as the finishing touch to my decor and finally decided to go with one from trusty ole TJ’s. It’s amazing what a little bit of greenery and a few strings of lights can do to create the coziest holiday vibes.

I truly believe the key to keeping things simple and focused is to stay within a theme. Pick a color or two and stick with them when buying your decor and gift wrap. That way, even with the most minimal holiday additions around your home will look intentional and put together. I’m all about the neutral and natural look this year and can’t help but be inspired by all of the pretty whites in greens in these images!
